Infosys-Upro-Microsoft jobs in USA. Equivalent to 'heaven' to many Indians. But this time Donald Trump closed the door of that heaven. Late on Thursday, the US administration took punitive action against eight companies. Companies have been accused of illegally processing H1B visas. It is to be noted that every company flies a large number of Indian workers to America. The US administration has ordered that this route will be closed from now on.
A few months ago, the first complaint was raised against Cognizant. According to the investigators, several well-known American companies have illegally processed H1B visas. Cognizant is one of them. Although this organization was not placed in the guilty list at that time. But after two months of investigation, it was felt that there was sufficient evidence of visa irregularities against Cognizant. The Permanent Labor Certification Program (PERM) applied for by the organization was then suspended. Microsoft, Tata, Wipro, Infosys, Adobe, HCL and Capgemini have also joined the list. Reportedly, these eight organizations will not even be able to apply for PERM.
PERM is considered the first step towards getting a green card. Companies in the U.S. hire foreign workers using this PERM. But before that, the company has to prove that US citizens are not eligible to do this job. It must also be ensured that US citizens are not harmed by foreign workers. But according to the US administration, companies have brought foreign workers to America without concern for US citizens. Those workers also stayed in America without returning to the country.
All settlement of PERM is done by the organization. But in the current situation, if a foreign citizen wants to go to America and work in these eight companies, he has to arrange a visa himself. Of course there is doubt as to whether that tenure will be suitable for employment at all. All in all, the Trump administration is a big blow to Indians dreaming of jobs in the US.
