Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s helicopter landed in Puri on Monday evening after adverse weather prevented its scheduled landing in Bhubaneswar.
The sudden change of plan led the pilot to divert the aircraft and land at the temporary bus stand in Samanga, Puri.
Officials said the helicopter was originally scheduled to land in Bhubaneswar, but strong winds and unfavourable conditions forced the diversion. The pilot ensured a safe landing in Puri, where security arrangements were quickly put in place.
The helicopter touched down smoothly at the bus stand, drawing attention from local residents. Police and administrative officials reached the spot to manage the situation and ensure safety.
