Uttarakhand News: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday gave a big gift to the people of Khatima. He inaugurated the new Nagar One Oxygen Park built in the city and dedicated it to the public. On this occasion, the Chief Minister toured the entire park complex and took stock of the arrangements and gave the message of environmental protection by planting a sapling. The Chief Minister, who reached Khatima, not only inaugurated the park, but also made six big and important announcements for the all-round development of the border area. A huge enthusiasm was seen from the local people and public representatives in this program.

While addressing the public meeting, the Chief Minister made announcements giving a new direction to the development of Khatima. He said that the Nagar One Oxygen Park will be further expanded so that more and more people can take advantage of it. Along with this, the old Forest Officer office located near the park premises will be rebuilt in a new form inside the park itself. Seeing the demand of youth and sports lovers, he announced to build a grand stadium in Khatima. Apart from this, it was also announced to create a workshop to promote social and cultural activities in the area, a circuit house for guests and tourists coming from outside and a modern vending zone to secure the livelihood of local small traders.

Khatima will shine on the tourism map

The Chief Minister said that the geographical location of Khatima is very special and it is a major gateway to the Kumaon region. It becomes an important stop for tourists and devotees visiting Vyas Valley, Panchachuli and the holy Adi Kailash. With a view to provide better accommodation facilities to the pilgrims and pilgrims coming from far away places, a fully equipped circuit house will be constructed in Khatima. Along with this, full budget will be given by the government for the expansion of the city forest park and providing other necessary facilities, so that this area can emerge as a major centre.

The Chief Minister said that with the construction of City One Oxygen Park, the nearby citizens have got a very beautiful and green place to walk, exercise and get fresh air. He said that this park is not just a government property, but it is the responsibility of every citizen to keep it clean and green. Taking special care of the convenience and cleanliness of the women and girls coming to the park, he directed the officials to construct a modern pink toilet in the complex as soon as possible.

Referring to the problem of changing climate and global warming, the Chief Minister said that today the importance of greenery and forests has increased a lot in the whole world. He clarified that development and environment are not opposed to each other, rather both go hand in hand. The main objective of the government is to advance industries and trade without harming nature. This will provide a pure environment to the coming generations and will also create solid sources of employment for them. Under this thinking, works related to electric vehicles, charging stations and solar energy are being promoted rapidly in the state.
