Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Big Decision: CM Rekha Gupta has taken a big decision regarding 2 hospitals which were stuck for 5 years. Delhi CM has approved Rs 426 crore for 2 hospitals. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has approved an additional budget of Rs 426.53 crore to complete the construction work of two government hospitals at Madipur and Jwalapuri in West Delhi, which were stuck for the last five years. With this, the way has been cleared to complete the incomplete work of two hospitals which were under construction for five years.
Due to the decision of CM Rekha Gupta, a total of 1382 new beds will increase with the construction of both the hospitals. This will benefit the areas with 20 lakh population living around Nangloi, West Delhi, Madipur, Jwalapuri.
Let us tell you that till now 65 percent work of Madipur Hospital and Jwalapuri Hospital has been completed. Both 691-691 band hospitals are to be built. The construction of both the hospitals was approved in the year 2019. The work got stuck in 2022 due to changes in their design and construction of two additional floors. Now its cost has increased. The initial cost of building Madipur Hospital was estimated at Rs 320 crore. More than half the budget has been spent. So far 65 percent of the physical work has been completed. Rs 203 crore is required to complete the remaining work. That means now the total cost has become Rs 466.50 crore.
Jwalapuri hospital also needs more money
The initial cost of Jwalapuri Hospital was also Rs 319.65 crore. Now its cost has increased to Rs 484.04 crore. Till now Rs 260.51 crore has been spent. Now Rs 223.53 crore more will be required to complete the remaining work.
