Patna. There is relief news for lakhs of families of Bihar on the auspicious occasion of Navratri. Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary transferred the pension amount through DBT to the bank accounts of 1 crore 8 lakh 36 thousand social security pensioners of the state. A total of Rs 1237 crore 48 lakh was released during this period. The amount was sent at the rate of Rs 1100 to each beneficiary.
Under this scheme, financial assistance is provided to eligible beneficiaries including the elderly, disabled people and widowed women. The aim of the government is to provide financial support to the needy people and help them meet their everyday needs.
Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary directed the officials that no eligible person should be deprived of social security pension. He asked the District Magistrates and public representatives to identify eligible beneficiaries by running a campaign in the villages.
The Chief Minister also informed that 93,835 new beneficiaries joined the pension scheme in the month of September. The government is emphasizing on providing the benefits of the scheme to the eligible people. In such a situation, eligible people who are not getting pension till now can contact the concerned department or local office and get information about the application process and eligibility.
