Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu made a sharp political attack on BJP MPs during a program organized at Kansa Ground in Balh Assembly constituency on Saturday. He alleged that BJP MPs from Himachal do not raise their voice on the issues of the state in front of the top leadership of the party in Delhi, but start raising questions on the government as soon as they reach Himachal.
CM Sukhu tauntedly said that BJP MPs start 'cawning like crows' as soon as they enter Himachal. The Chief Minister said that those who do not raise their voice for their rights cannot do justice to the people. He claimed that the state government is continuously raising the voice of the interests and rights of Himachal.
'Why don't you raise voice for the rights of Himachal in Delhi?'
The Chief Minister asked the BJP MPs that if the interests of Himachal are being affected on any issue related to the Centre, then why is their voice not heard in Delhi. He said that the fight for the rights of the state should not be fought through political rhetoric, but through effective lobbying. Sukhu accused the former BJP government of pushing Himachal into debt burden.
He said that during the previous government, the state received a huge amount in the form of GST reimbursement and revenue deficit grant, but it was not utilized as expected. The Chief Minister claimed that the Congress government, after coming to power, worked on many fronts despite natural disaster and financial challenges. He said that during the disaster, the state government got thousands of damaged houses rebuilt with its own resources and work is going on towards making the state self-reliant.

Big political message regarding Prakash Chaudhary in Balh
Declaring former minister Prakash Chaudhary as the next Congress candidate from Balh, the Chief Minister said that if the people had given him victory in the last assembly elections, he would have been in the state cabinet today. He also appealed to support Prakash Chaudhary in the upcoming elections. Regarding the development of Balh, the Chief Minister made several announcements including opening of division office and DSP office of Jal Shakti and Electricity Department.
He also talked about sanctioning an amount of Rs 3 crore for the improvement of roads. Accusing BJP of factionalism, Sukhu said that many leaders within the party are preparing to become Chief Minister at their respective levels. He also targeted former Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and accused him of doing regional politics in Mandi. The Chief Minister said that the aim of the Congress government is to make Himachal self-reliant and in this direction, work is being done on issues related to financial discipline, public welfare and rights of the state.
