UP Heavy rain and thunderstorms : Continuous heavy rains and strong winds for the past few days have affected life in all the districts including the capital of Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow. Falling of trees and other incidents have been reported in many districts. Along with this, there is also news of loss of life and property in different incidents during the storm and rain. Taking cognizance of which CM Yogi Adityanath has given necessary instructions to the officials.

According to the information, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath directed the officials to provide immediate relief to the people affected by heavy rains across the state. He said that immediate compensation should be given for the loss of life, property and houses due to heavy rains and after assessing the loss of crops, farmers should be given timely compensation. He also directed the officials to take people from flood affected areas and those made homeless due to house collapse to flood relief and shelter centres. Also, he asked senior officers to be in the field, meet the affected families and ensure all possible help is provided without any delay. The Chief Minister warned that negligence will not be tolerated at any level in relief work.
According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, there is a warning of extremely heavy rains along with thunderstorms and strong winds in Eastern and Western UP on September 26, while heavy to very heavy rains are likely to continue on September 27. That means the weather is expected to improve from Monday. At present, in view of the bad weather, orders have been issued to close schools in many districts.
