CM yogi appeal: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has decided to strongly implement Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s global call in Uttar Pradesh. CM has appealed to the people of the state to reduce fuel consumption and avoid unnecessary purchase of gold. In view of the current situation and turmoil in the world, the Chief Minister has made it clear that now everyone will have to be careful. The government is going to start this campaign from its own level, under which instructions have been given to immediately reduce the number of vehicles in the convoy of the Chief Minister and Ministers by 50 percent.
Preparation for major changes in government functioning
The Chief Minister has laid special emphasis on promoting the culture of work from home in the state. He has directed that government meetings, seminars and workshops should be organized virtually. Along with this, industrial institutions and startups have also been advised to provide their employees the facility to work from home at least two days a week. The CM has also urged ministers, MPs and MLAs to use public transport once a week so that a positive message can be sent to the society and fuel can be saved.
CM yogi appeal: New guidelines to save electricity and oil
CM Yogi has adopted a strict stance regarding energy conservation. He said that there should be no unnecessary use of electricity in government buildings and houses and the use of decorative lights should be minimized after 10 pm. In view of health and household savings, he has also appealed to the people to reduce the use of edible oil. Food with less oil will also be given priority in places like schools, hostels and police mess. Also, it has been urged to avoid non-essential foreign trips for the next six months and promote tourism within the country.
Focus on indigenous and natural farming
CM yogi appeal: UP government will now promote ‘One District, One Cuisine’ as well as gifting of ODOP and GI tagged products. It has been said to use handicrafts made in India instead of foreign goods in weddings and festivals. The Chief Minister has instructed the Agriculture Department to promote natural farming and properly manage cow dung. Apart from this, people will also be made aware to install solar panels on the roofs of houses under PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme.
