CNG becomes expensive for the second time in 2 days, know the rate in your city

Once again the prices of Compact Natural Gas (CNG) have been increased by one rupee in Delhi-NCR. Now the price of one kg CNG in Delhi has become Rs 80.09. CNG is now available at the rate of Rs 88.70 per kg in Noida-Ghaziabad. This is the second increase in two days. Earlier on May 15 also, the price of CNG was increased by Rs 2 per kg. CNG prices may be increased further in the coming days.

The petroleum crisis in the world is now deepening. The impact of the unrest in West Asia is visible on India. India’s petroleum reserves are also being affected now. Movement of oil is not easy due to the blockade by both Iran and America on the Strait of Hormuz. Both the countries do not seem to be reaching a permanent ceasefire agreement right now. Situations are tense.

Prices had increased on May 15 also

On Friday, the price of CNG had increased by Rs 2 per kg. Even then it was being said that fares could become expensive once again. Just a few days ago, the price of petrol in Delhi has been increased by Rs 3 per liter from Rs 94.77 to Rs 97.77. Diesel has also become costlier by Rs 3. Now diesel is available at Rs 90.67 per litre.

Now what next?

Delhi Auto Rickshaw Union and Delhi Pradesh Taxi Union have written a letter to Chief Minister Rekha Gupta demanding increase in fare. The union says that the fare revision will reduce the financial pressure on drivers. There will also be less fights with passengers regarding fare.

What do drivers want?

The taxi and auto rickshaw union demands that the minimum fare for the first 1.5 kilometers be increased from Rs 30 to Rs 50. After this, the fare per kilometer should be increased from Rs 11 to Rs 15. It has been proposed to impose a waiting charge of Rs 1 per minute and an additional charge of Rs 25 for luggage.
