What are the tough issues for NDA?
- Petrol-diesel trap: The effect of the war between Iran and America is now visible on the ground. People stand in long queues at petrol pumps and are unable to get petrol. The situation in Purvanchal border districts was already bad, but now gradually even big cities are falling prey to this shortage. It is being claimed that India has oil reserves of one or two months but the crisis is so big that the BJP government is getting surrounded. Now the sudden increase in oil prices is creating more problems.
Akhilesh Yadav, National President, Samajwadi Party:-
The BJP’s claim that the economy was being shown like a galloping bullock train, actually proved to be like a bullock cart. The smoke of double engine has gone out due to inflation and fighting of gas, oil and cylinder. The public is saying that keep an eye on the BJP people that when they go abroad, how much they are taking with them and then they also come back or are they renouncing their citizenship there.
- Gas Crisis: New connections are not available. There is a large population of the country which does not have a gas connection. Earlier they were easily getting gas cylinders, small gas was also available. Now people are worried about gas. A large population in cities who used to work in the unorganized sector has returned home. The prices of tea and food are increasing uncontrollably.
- Unemployment: New jobs are not being created. Recruitment is not being done on the posts which are vacant. From Bihar to UP to Uttarakhand, NITI Aayog has admitted that thousands of vacancies are vacant only on the post of teacher. Apart from government jobs, business pace may also slow down due to global crisis. A large population working in Gulf countries has returned to the country. According to the Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation, about 16 percent of people in the age group of 15 to 24 in the country do not have any employment.
- paper leak: The government is on the target of the opposition due to the paper leak. Incidents of paper leak have come to light in more than 70 examinations in the last 10 years. The working system of the National Testing Agency (NTA) is so suspicious that the opposition is making it an issue. NTA may have canceled the NEET PG exam after the paper leak scandal was exposed in Rajasthan, but the public is feeling angry about how the paper leaks are happening and to which states it has spread. From 2015 to 2026 – 148 exam scams. 87 exams cancelled, future of 9 crore children affected. Only 1 person was convicted in 148 scams. CBI took 17 cases, ED 11, no one was punished. 15 scams in NEET, AIPMT and other medical exams alone. And the most shameful thing is that no officer or minister responsible in these scams has resigned. are removed. Then they are secretly appointed to higher positions. Those who commit the theft get rewarded, and the children who take the exam lose their lives.
- Dearness: After the recent increase in the prices of petrol, diesel and CNG, opposition parties including Congress leader Rahul Gandhi are saying that the common people are forced to pay the price of the wrong policies and economic failure of the Modi government. The opposition alleges that by increasing the cost of fuel immediately after the elections, the government has stoked the fire of inflation, due to which the prices of kitchen, transport and everyday items will increase further. Rahul Gandhi called it a burden on the public and said that the poor and middle class are bearing the brunt of the government’s mistakes. Milk prices have increased. Inflation is an issue with which the common man has a direct connection. This issue can increase the problems of the government in the elections.
Rahul Gandhi:-
It is Modi government’s mistake, the public will pay the price. The shock of ₹3 has already been received, the remaining recovery will be done in instalments.
