The media of that country has come under the wrath of US President Donald Trump. CNN, MS Now and Politico have been declared 'banned'. In protest, four major US networks have stopped covering Trump.
Fox News Media, ABC News, CBS News, and NBC News jointly announced on Monday that they will no longer participate in the rotating pool. In a joint statement they noted, 'People have the right to get accurate and independent information about the government. No administration should impose restrictions or restrictions on the performance of its duties by objecting to any press.'
The US president's news coverage has traditionally been shared by the nation's five leading television networks. Channels periodically send their own camera crews to various presidential functions. They distribute the video footage to the rest of the media. It should be noted here, it's not as if television networks have completely shut down news coverage of the Trump administration. They will refrain from providing joint video footage only for events covered by the President's 'pool' system. Other journalists and media outlets will be able to continue reporting outside of this limited access as usual.
Incidentally, Trump's anger at the media is not the first time in America. Earlier, he tried to take away the press credentials of CNN journalist Jim Acosta.
