Coach angry over Vaibhav being benched, questions raised on Gautam Gambhir's management

Tezzbuzz Desk– The debate has intensified regarding the way to give opportunities to young players and prepare them in the Indian cricket team. Vaibhav Suryavanshi has not yet got an opportunity to play in the T20 series against West Indies. He was kept out of the playing eleven in three matches and was seen delivering water to the players outside the field. His childhood coach Manish Ojha is disappointed with this situation. He raised questions on the current management strategy of Team India and said that keeping a talented player on the bench continuously is not the right way. Manish Ojha, while talking to Sports Now, praised the ability of Vaibhav Suryavanshi. He described Vaibhav as a storm and said that whoever tries to confront him will break in the end. According to him, considering Vaibhav's talent, he should get ample opportunities to play. However, no official explanation has been given in this report by the team management on the reason behind not including Vaibhav in the playing eleven.

Ojha also gave his opinion on the process of preparing young players. He said that the current management of the Indian team thinks that players can be groomed by sitting on the bench. According to him, if Indian cricket has to be strong for the next generation, it is important to give young players a chance to play in real match conditions. This will give them experience and they will be able to learn to face the challenges at the international level. Manish Ojha further said that sitting on the bench has not prepared any player nor will he progress. Referring to Vaibhav sitting outside to deliver water, he expressed displeasure over the working style of the management. He alleged that the current management of Team India is working in a dictatorial manner and takes only those decisions which it deems appropriate. These are the views and allegations of Manish Ojha.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi's T20 International career statistics also point towards his batting ability. According to the report, he has got a chance to play in eight T20 matches so far. In these matches, he has scored 246 runs at an average of 30.75. His strike rate has been more than 186. During this period, Vaibhav has scored two half-centuries and has 18 sixes and 22 fours in his name. The Indian team still has to play two more T20 matches in the series against West Indies. In such a situation, now everyone's eyes are on whether Vaibhav Suryavanshi gets a place in the playing eleven in the upcoming matches or not. After the statement of their coach, the discussion regarding giving opportunities to young talent and team selection strategy has intensified.
