Cocktail 2 Box Office Collection: Shahid has made other movies tight! Earned a lot on the first day

Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandana starrer ‘Cocktail 2’, a romantic drama, has opened strongly at the box office. Directed by director Homi Adjania, the film has received mixed response from the audience and critics, but the film has performed well on its opening day in terms of revenue. According to estimates by trade website Sacnilk, the film grossed around Rs 13.50 crore nett on its first day in India. Released in 10,835 shows across the country, the film’s gross collection in India was Rs 16.20 crore, while the overseas collection was around Rs 4 crore. Therefore, the first day global collection was estimated to reach Rs 20.20 crore.

However, according to the figures released by the makers, the film has grossed Rs 16.64 crores in India and Rs 7.36 crores overseas, taking the film to a worldwide opening of Rs 24 crores.
Now the first Monday is considered important for the further journey of the film. If the audience response continues even after the weekend, the film’s earnings are likely to increase further. Besides, Cocktail 2 could benefit from the lack of competition from big Bollywood films this week.

‘Cocktail 2’ is produced by Dinesh Vijan, Love Ranjan and Ankur Garg and screenplay is written by Tarun Jain and Love Ranjan. The film is a sequel to the 2012 hit ‘Cocktail’, the original starring Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty. This new episode, which was released in theaters worldwide on June 19, has received special attention from the audience.
