Chelsea’s star midfielder, Cole Palmer, has signed a contract extension to keep him at the club until 2034. Since joining the London club in the summer of 2023, he has established himself as one of the league’s top stars.
Now in his fourth season with the Blues, Palmer has delivered strong performances, totaling 71 goal contributions across 101 Premier League matches.
A product of Manchester City’s academy, Palmer made strong strides at the youth level, which caught the attention of the West London club that signed him in 2023. Afterward, he played for the England national team, though he did not fly to the USA for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

“Chelsea means a lot to me, and I think the club is going in the right direction, so I’m delighted to sign, and I’m obviously very happy,” Palmer said in a press statement on the club’s website. Since the arrival of new Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso, Palmer has said his ambitions align with the club’s and that he wants to get back to winning titles.
Now in his fourth season at Chelsea, he has made a positive start to the 2026-27 Premier League campaign, scoring twice and providing two assists in five matches, after a dip in form last season following two impressive campaigns.
Cole Palmer has led Chelsea to UEFA Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup titles in 2025, while being named the Premier League Young Player of the Season and PFA Young Player of the Year in 2023/24
