FIFA World Cup Colombia vs Uzbekistan: Colombia celebrated their return to the FIFA World Cup with a thrilling 3-1 victory over debutants Uzbekistan at the Mexico City Stadium. Luis Diaz performed brilliantly for Colombia in the Group (K) match. Along with scoring one goal, he also made one assist.

Goal scored in the 32nd minute

In the initial moments of the match, attacking approach was seen from both the teams. Colombia got their first big chance in the 17th minute, when John Arias’ long-range shot hit the side netting. After this, in the 32nd minute, Luis Diaz made a brilliant move and created a great opportunity for Daniel Munoz to score. Munoz gave Colombia a 1-0 lead with a brilliant finish.

Colombia continued to dominate until the end of the first half, but Uzbekistan continued to fight. Uzbekistan made a strong comeback in the second half. Abbosbek Faizullaev scored a brilliant goal with a header after Dostonbek Khamdamov’s effort and Eldor Shomurdov’s cross. This was the first World Cup goal in the history of Uzbekistan. With this goal, Uzbekistan leveled the score at 1-1.

In injury time, Kucho Hernandez played brilliantly from the right side and passed the ball to Jaminton Campaz. Campaz sealed the victory for Colombia by scoring the third goal through a brilliant header.
