Indian female boxer Preeti Pawar has created history with a brilliant performance at the Commonwealth Games 2026. In the women’s 54 kg weight category, she defeated Canada’s Scarlett Delgado by unanimous decision 5-0 in a one-sided match to win the gold medal.

Preeti showed an aggressive game from the very beginning. Her fast punching, excellent defense and control on the ring did not give any chance to her opponent. With all five judges giving their verdict in her favor, India added another gold to its account.
