Condition of jailed nephew Lawrence Bishnoi worsens; On hunger strike for 18 days, refused even treatment

Lawrence Bishnoi Gang: The health of Sachin Thapan, nephew of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and accused in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case, has deteriorated in the high security jail of Ajmer. Sachin, who was on hunger strike for about 18 days, had to be admitted to the hospital after his condition deteriorated. The surprising thing is that according to the jail administration, his hunger strike is not about any legal demand or basic facilities, but about his insistence on keeping his two comrades in the same barrack. Even after reaching the hospital, he refused to get treatment, due to which concern about his health has increased.

After the health of Sachin Thapan, lodged in the high security jail in Ajmer, Rajasthan, deteriorated, he was taken to Jawaharlal Nehru (JLN) Hospital under tight security. Here the team of doctors is busy treating him. In view of security, heavy police force has been deployed in the hospital premises. It has come to light that his body has become weak due to not eating food for several days continuously. At present the doctors are monitoring his condition.

According to the jail superintendent, two associates of Sachin Thapan are also lodged in the same jail. Recently both of them had broken the CCTV cameras installed in their barracks. After this incident, the jail administration had lodged an FIR against him in the Civil Lines police station. After this, Sachin demanded that both the companions be kept in his own barrack.

The jail administration refused to accept his demand citing security rules. In protest against this, Sachin stopped eating and drinking and started a hunger strike. It is being told that he has given up food for about 17 to 18 days. The jail administration says that his demand is not in accordance with the security standards, hence it cannot be accepted.

Amidst this entire incident, jail sources also told that Sachin had observed a fast during Navratri and was also performing puja in the barrack. However, the reason for the current hunger strike is said to be the demand to keep his comrades in the same barrack. Now, after his health deteriorated and he refused treatment in the hospital, the jail administration is facing the challenge of managing his health.
