TTE Passenger Argument Video: These days, a video related to train travel is going viral on social media, which has sparked a new debate among the passengers. In the video, a passenger is seen claiming that despite having a confirmed ticket, he was shown ‘Absent’ in the system.

After this a conversation starts between the passenger and the TTE of the train, which gradually turns into an argument. After this incident, people are expressing their opinion regarding the railway system and passenger facilities.

TTE declares passenger’s confirmed ticket as absent

In the video, the passenger asks the TTE as to how he was shown absent despite having a confirmed ticket. To this the TTE replies that now even if an attempt is made to enter the information in the system again, the system will not accept it.

When other passengers ask the reason, the TTE says that it is a system related issue and he cannot do much about it. During the conversation, the TTE is also seen advising the passenger to lodge a complaint. After the video surfaced, many social media users have given different reactions to it.

Railways asked for information from passengers for investigation

According to railway rules, a passenger can be marked ‘Absent’ under certain circumstances, such as if the passenger does not start the journey from the boarding station on time, ticket verification is not done or there is a technical problem in the system update. However, in such cases, the passenger can lodge a complaint through the railway helpline or complaint portal.

Indian Railways has also responded to the viral post, asking passengers to share PNR numbers, train numbers and travel related information so that the matter can be investigated. Some people on social media are calling it a technical problem, while some users have demanded an impartial investigation into the matter.
