Congratulations to the instructors echoed in Sonbhadra Collectorate, the district administration organized a grand felicitation ceremony on honorarium increase.

A new chapter of respect for part-time instructors, who are called the backbone of upper primary education, was written in the Collectorate Auditorium on Sunday. In view of the historic increase in the honorarium of a total of 24,517 part-time instructors of the state by the Uttar Pradesh Government, a grand felicitation ceremony and honorarium distribution inauguration program was organized by the District Administration and Basic Education Department. With this decision, 460 working instructors of Sonbhadra district alone have started directly getting the benefit of this increased honorarium.
Special discussion on creation of posts and decreasing number of instructors
Under the Basic Education Council, the post of instructors is created only when there is enrollment of 100 or more students in the classes of upper primary schools, where as per the rules, there is a provision for appointment of maximum 3 instructors. These instructors are experts in subjects like sports, art, home crafts and work experience, who play an important role in the all-round development of children. During the program, the fact was also underlined that compared to the total of 41,000 instructors in the past, now only 24,296 instructors are left in the state, hence the need for service security and economic strengthening of this cadre was being felt for a long time.
During the program, the main program organized at the state level (Lucknow) was telecast live on the big screen in the Collectorate Auditorium. All the instructors present in the auditorium watched this live telecast with great enthusiasm. As soon as the official announcement about the welfare and increase in honorarium of all the instructors of the state was made from Lucknow, the entire Collectorate complex echoed with the cheers and joy of the instructors.
Received a check of Rs 17,000 as honorarium for the month of April
On this dignified occasion, the instructors doing excellent work of the district were invited on the stage and honored by the chief guest and special guests by giving them robes and certificates. The highlight of the function was the distribution of a symbolic check of Rs 17,000 to the instructors as increased honorarium for the month of April. The faces of Sonbhadra’s instructors lit up after receiving this historic honour.
Minister of State for Social Welfare Sanjeev Kumar God expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister and praised the dedication of the instructors. The chief guest of the program, Minister of State for Social Welfare, Government of Uttar Pradesh, Sanjeev Singh Gaur started the function by lighting the lamp. Appreciating the efforts of the instructors and expressing his gratitude towards the leadership of the state, he said that our illustrious Chief Minister gives the gift of development of the state and the welfare of the honorarium workers with the spirit of a saint, for which we all together express our heartfelt gratitude to him.
Our instructor colleagues make their invaluable contribution to the education system by staying in the school regularly with full dedication. His dedication in providing free and quality education to all the children from the last rung of the mainstream society is incomparable.
Keeping this in view, the government has taken this historic step of providing free health insurance of Rs 5 lakh to all the working teachers and employees and increasing the honorarium to Rs 17,000, due to which the instructors of the state including 460 of our Sonbhadra colleagues are directly benefiting.
On this historic occasion, Instructor Welfare Association President Ravindra Bahadur Singh expressed special gratitude to the Chief Minister for this welfare decision of increasing the honorarium to Rs 17,000. He said that this step of the government has awakened a new ray of economic strength and respect in thousands of instructor families of the state, for which the entire instructor community is indebted to the government.
addressing the ceremony District Magistrate famous Gaur Motivating the instructors and teachers, he said that children always imitate the behavior of their teachers and mold their personality by watching them. Therefore, all teachers and instructors should give value based education to children. During the teaching work, special attention should be paid to the children’s interest, their ability and their learning level, so that every child can have effective and positive development. During this, Sadar MLA Bhupesh Choubey ji heartily congratulated all the instructor colleagues present in the program for this new beginning.
Inspiring instructors towards their greater responsibilities Sadar Legislator Said that all you instructors have a huge responsibility to hone the talent of the students in the fields of agriculture, sports and arts and the society has a lot of expectations from you. All of you can bring about a positive behavioral change among children by discussing extremely important social topics like road safety, ‘Plastic is my responsibility’, cleanliness and water harvesting at school level. This lesson given by you will play a big role in nation building.
Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Commission Vice Chairman Jeet Singh and special guest District President BJP Nand Lal Gupta and Ghorawal MLA representative Surendra Maurya, present in the program, also appreciated this public-friendly and teacher-friendly scheme of the government. He said that this respectable amount of Rs 17,000 will further strengthen the social and economic respect of the instructor colleagues and will further boost their morale.
Chief Development Officer and District Basic Education Officer were mainly present on this dignified occasion. At the end of the program he expressed gratitude to all the guests who had come. On this occasion, officials of various instructors and teacher organizations, a large number of district instructors and departmental employees were present.
