Reva. Local Congress MLA Abhay Mishra has made very serious and sensational allegations regarding the arrangements of Sanjay Gandhi Hospital located in Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh. He says that if the family members of the deceased are not present during the post-mortem of beautiful women in the hospital mortuary, then the dead body is raped there. He told that to avoid this, the family members pay money and stand there and get PM done in front of them.

Mishra made this allegation amid the ongoing protest over the recent death of pregnant woman Kalpana Mishra and her unborn child in the same hospital, which went viral on social media. However, the hospital management has termed these allegations as baseless.

MLA said- I came to know about this two years ago

While addressing the protest, Semaria MLA Abhay Mishra made this very sensational allegation and said, 'You people might not know, two years ago a gentleman came to us. He said, if you want postmortem of your daughter-in-law, then please call. After which we called the doctor and asked him to get it done. Then that gentleman told that our daughter-in-law was very beautiful to look at. So we said it's over, now she is dead. So he told me, no, you tell him (the doctor) that I am ready to pay the money, but do the post-mortem in front of me. So I asked him the reason for this.

'If the family members are not present then rape takes place there'

Further the acquaintance asked me, 'You don't know', to which I said, 'Yes, I don't know'. Then he told that 'If a beautiful woman expires (dies) in Sanjay Gandhi Hospital and if her family members do not stand by during the post-mortem, then the dead body is raped there.' He also told that 'people have to pay money to stand there.'

MLA made serious allegations without evidence

After this sensational statement, questions have started being raised regarding the security arrangements of the hospital and monitoring of dead bodies. However, he did not say anything about how much truth is there in his statement and on the basis of which evidence he has given this statement. Because till now no such incident has come to light from Sanjay Gandhi Hospital, nor has the family members of any of the deceased made any such allegation.

Hospital administration called the allegations wrong

On the other hand, after this very serious allegation by MLA Abhay Mishra, the hospital management has now called his entire statement baseless. Responding to this, hospital CMO Alakh Prakash said, 'Whatever statement the honorable MLA has given to the public is completely baseless and there is no truth in it.'

Advice given to MLA to speak thoughtfully

Further, he advised the MLA to speak carefully and said, 'Honorable MLA, who is the representative of the public, should think before giving such a statement, what allegation you are making. If they have any clear proof of this, then they can present it in front of everyone, otherwise all these things are baseless.
