‘EC is no longer Election Commission, it is BJP’s weapon’, Congress MP Manish Tiwari’s big statement on Bengal elections

Manish Tewari On West Bengal Election Result: BJP has won the right to form the government in the state for the first time by defeating Trinamool Congress, which has been in power for 15 years, with an overwhelming majority in the West Bengal Assembly elections. On the other hand, BJP benefited due to Congress and TMC fighting elections separately. Congress MP Manish Tewari claimed that the Election Commission acted like a tool of the BJP.

Congress MP in Chandigarh, while talking to news agency IANS, said that what would have been the result if TMC and Congress had contested elections together in West Bengal, is a matter of evaluation and analysis.

‘Black day for Indian democracy’

Manish Tiwari further said that one thing is clear from the election results that the margin of victory in many constituencies is less than the number of voters who were not allowed to vote. In such cases, election petitions will be filed in each constituency where this condition applies. However, a very unfortunate situation was witnessed in West Bengal, where according to him, the government machinery was misused and the Election Commission, which should be an impartial institution, acted as a tool of the BJP. This is a dark day for India’s democracy. Its results will be negative.

Two more blasts in Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann On the statement of Congress MP Manish Tiwari said that the nature of Punjab does not match the ideology of BJP. Punjabis have historically defended their land from invaders for centuries. Punjab is the same state which was forced to withdraw the agricultural laws through protests. Therefore, it is wrong to compare it with any other state.
