Former Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Choudhary said that BJP was successful in wooing Raghav Chadha. BJP knows this politics of hunting. This happens in Bengal also. Mamata Banerjee feels that the results are in danger, so she also enters the field and deploys her agency, I-PAC, for the hunt. I-PAC contacts our candidates who are expected to win. BJP also does hunting politics and so does Mamata Banerjee. This is normal in today’s politics. These comments came after the trio of MPs Raghav Chadha, Sandeep Pathak and Ashok Mittal on Friday parted ways with the Aam Aadmi Party and subsequently joined the BJP in the presence of the party leadership. Addressing a press conference in the national capital, Chadha said that Sandeep Pathak, Harbhajan Singh, Rajinder Gupta, Vikramjit Singh Sahni and Swati Maliwal have also joined the BJP. Raghav Chadha said that he has informed the Speaker of the House about leaving the party as per the rules. He formalized a split that had been brewing for weeks and announced that two-thirds of the party’s upper house members would merge with the BJP.

Meanwhile, AAP has now started working on a new strategy. Discussions are going on among party leaders regarding the situation. After returning from Gujarat tour late last night, senior party leader Manish Sisodia met party convenor Arvind Kejriwal at his residence. Manish Sisodia had gone to Rajkot to campaign for the party in Gujarat’s municipal elections. Party sources said that after returning to Delhi late at night, Sisodia went straight from the airport to the residence of party convenor Arvind Kejriwal. The meeting between the two leaders lasted for more than half an hour. During this meeting, they also discussed the possible impact of the split in the party and future strategy. Party sources said that the party’s chief whip in the Upper House, N.D. Will submit a letter to the Chairman of Rajya Sabha against Gupta, Raghav Chadha, Sandeep Pathak and Ashok Mittal. A party source said that Gupta will demand action under the anti-defection law in his letter. These three leaders were seen publicly joining BJP. Whereas the remaining four leaders were not seen doing so in public. Therefore, the Chief Whip will file a complaint only against those three MPs who were seen in the BJP office.
