Congress performed Yagya for the goodwill of PM Modi, Digvijay Singh said – Donated Rs 1.11 lakh, now will file a case in Ayodhya court.
Bhopal. On Friday, Mahila Congress performed Sadbuddhi Yagya and mass fast near Mata Mandir in the capital Bhopal over allegations of alleged irregularities in the donations collected for the construction of Ayodhya Ram Temple. A large number of Congress workers including State Congress President Jitu Patwari, former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh, former Minister PC Sharma, Mahila Congress State President Reena Borasi Setia participated in the program.

Yagya performed for the wisdom of the Prime Minister
Mahila Congress state president Reena Borasi Setia said that the yagya is being performed for the goodwill of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that Lord Shri Ram always kept the welfare of the people paramount, but today the general public, women and poor sections of the country are troubled. His allegation was that the government was giving priority to the construction of the temple, while the basic problems of the people were being ignored.

Donated Rs 1.11 lakh, will now file suit in court: Digvijay Singh
Former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh said that he had donated Rs 1 lakh 11 thousand for the construction of Ram Temple and the receipt and copy of the check is still safe with him. He told that after discussing with his senior advocate on July 5 or 6, he will go to Ayodhya and file a case in the court.
Demand for fair investigation of donations and fixing of responsibility
Digvijay Singh said that if financial irregularities are revealed in the investigation, then action should be taken against the responsible officials of the trust. He said that devotees across the country have donated with faith in the name of Lord Ram, hence the complete account of that amount should be made public. He said that if financial irregularities are proved in the court, he will withdraw his donation and donate it to any recognized religious chair or Shankaracharya’s trust.

Digvijay Singh said that he is accused of being anti-religious, whereas he himself follows Sanatan tradition. He said he regularly performs religious rituals, observes Ekadashi fast and has also done Narmada Parikrama. The former chief minister also demanded the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) to give a public account of the use of religious donations and Gurudakshina. Stating that transparency is necessary in the operation of religious institutions, he also reiterated his old allegations related to the land of Mahakal temple complex.
He will put a placard outside his house which will read ‘Entry of donation thieves is prohibited’
Digvijay Singh also raised questions on the formation of Ram Mandir Trust, appointment of office bearers and the process of consecration, saying that many saints and Shankaracharya have already raised objections on this subject. He said that he will put up a placard outside his house with this written on it. Entry of donation thieves is prohibited in my house. He also appealed to the people to demand transparency in the use of religious donations.
