Congress said – Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has become an example of arrogance and incompetence, he should resign from his post.

New Delhi. The controversy related to CBSE’s On-Screen Marking (OSM) system has taken a political form. Regarding this, Congress has launched a scathing attack on the Modi government at the Centre. The party alleged that due to the negligence and irregularities of the Education Ministry, lakhs of students have suffered mental problems. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan should resign while following Rajdharma. Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh said on social media that after denying the cyber security flaws for several weeks, CBSE has finally accepted that its OSM system has been affected. Jairam Ramesh raised the question that what action will be taken against the contract awarded company COEMPT in this case?

Jairam Ramesh alleged that CBSE had kept the right to blacklist ineligible companies in the tender conditions of August 2025, but this provision was later amended and removed. He called it an attempt to save the company. The Congress leader targeted Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, saying that he has become an example of arrogance and incompetence and he should resign from his post.

Earlier, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi had also criticized the Central Government over the revaluation process of CBSE and the fees associated with it. He said that when education is seen not as a service but as a business, mistakes increase instead of improving. In fact, many CBSE Class 12 students had complained that the answer sheets uploaded on the portal for revaluation were not theirs. Later CBSE contacted the concerned students and provided their correct answer sheets.
