Which is much higher than average social media usage. Not only this, the common Indian is using social media for about 1 hour 38 minutes every day.

Social media became the first choice of youth

The report clearly states that the youngest internet users are spending the most time on social media. Which is no longer just a medium of entertainment but has now also become a platform for information, networking and staying connected with trends. This report also revealed that people aged 35 years and above are more visible on digital platforms related to entertainment than on social media. People of this age group watch an average of 77.2 minutes of entertainment content every day.

Girls more active on social media

This report, which went viral on social media, also revealed that girls aged between 18 to 24 years are 47 percent more active on social media than boys. From which it becomes clear that the influence of social platforms is increasing rapidly among young women. Which includes their content creation, online community and digital networking.

Women also ahead in online shopping

Women’s influence is not limited to social media only, but now women’s participation is also visible on e-commerce and quick commerce platforms. In which women aged between 25 to 34 years spend an average of 35.2 minutes daily on these platforms, but in comparison, the average time of men is only 24.8 minutes and this is said to be the reason why the share of female users on platforms like Blinkit, Meesho and Myntra is more than that of men.

Tremendous surge in popularity of AI apps

It is also being seen that in recent times there has been an increase of 5 percent in the monthly active users of social media. In which it was seen that people spend an average of 58.6 minutes daily on messaging apps and this share was seen highest in Artificial Intelligence based apps.
