With this brilliant innings, he created the world record for the highest individual score by a batsman in the history of T20 cricket.

With this historic knock, Pretorius broke West Indies legend Chris Gayle's record, which was considered almost impossible for many years. Gayle scored a memorable 175 not out against Pune Warriors in the 2013 IPL while playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore. It was Pretorius' third century in his T20 career and with it, the 'Universe Boss' 13-year-old record went down in history.

The young opener attacked the opposition bowlers right from the beginning of the match. He completed his half-century in just 24 balls, followed by a century in the next 16 balls. It didn't take long for Pretorius to reach 150 runs as he completed his century in just 40 balls. During his unbeaten innings of 188, he hit 13 brilliant sixes and 15 blistering fours, taking the Knights' economy rate above 11 per bowler.

Pretorius dominated the whole match. His Titans scored 267 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, the Knights' innings stumbled early in the run chase and could only manage 143 runs in 17.2 overs.
