There has been a big improvement in law and order in Bihar, where on one hand there has been a huge decline in major crimes like murder, dacoity and robbery. Due to the anti-Naxal campaign, not a single district of the state is left affected by militancy. This information was given by DGP Vinay Kumar, ADG Law and Order KS Anupam, ADG Headquarters Sunil Kumar, Home Secretary Pranav Kumar and Special Secretary Home Department Area Neel Singh after the Home Security meeting of the Home Department.
According to Home Department data, there has been a decline of 10 percent in murder cases in the state compared to last year. Dacoity cases have reduced by 31 and robbery cases by 18. DGP Vinay Kumar said that there is fear among criminals due to the strictness of the police and better monitoring. In the first year there were around 15,000 riots. Now this figure has reached 100. He said that most of the murder cases are now happening due to love affairs, land disputes and family disputes. This is a problem directly related to society.

Now Bihar is not affected by Naxalism
Describing it as the biggest achievement, the DGP said that due to the success of the anti-Naxal campaign, there is no longer a single district left in the state affected by militancy. He said that before 2005 the situation in Bihar was very dangerous. Naxalites were spread on a large scale. Even the SP of Munger was killed by Naxalites. Now there is a plan to develop all the affected areas through tourism, education and industry.
The government is recruiting on a large scale to strengthen the police force. DGP said that more than 22,000 policemen have been recruited in one and a half years. The process of restoration of 26,574 posts is going on which will be completed in 1 year. In this way, the department will get more than 50,000 policemen in one and a half years. Along with this, construction work of 600 police station buildings is going on in the state. To further strengthen Dial 112, new infrastructure is being prepared with a plan of Rs 172 crore. A big and modern cyber cell building of police will also be built in Patna.

Drug addiction and human trafficking is a big challenge
DGP said that now the biggest challenge before the police is drug addiction and human trafficking. He said that our youth are falling prey to drugs. Truckloads of ganja and drugs are being seized. People from Nepal, North East and outside are engaged in this supply. Stopping drug addiction is not just the job of the police. The society will also have to come forward. He said that incidents of child theft and human trafficking are also increasing. The main reason for this is illiteracy and poverty. The problem will not go away just by putting the responsibility on the police. Society will also have to become aware.
Will receive 'President Color Award'
Bihar Police has received the President's Color Award. DGP said that UP had received this award in 1954 itself. Bihar is getting this honor for the first time. This time 18 policemen were awarded awards for bravery. Most of them are constables and constables. A woman SP, a DSP and an IG rank officer will also receive this award.
