Commonwealth Games 2026 Day 7 Schedule: Today, the seventh day of the Commonwealth Games 2026, is going to be another big day for India. Indian players will compete in more than 20 important matches in Glasgow, which also includes many medal matches. The biggest attraction of the day will be Murali Sreeshankar’s men’s long jump final in athletics and the quarterfinal match of boxing, where Indian boxers will enter the ring with the aim of securing at least six more medals by reaching the semi-finals. Apart from this, India will also be eyeing to win medals in weightlifting, para athletics and para swimming.
Who will show his strength where?
In weightlifting, Sanjana will challenge for a medal in the women’s 77 kg category. In para athletics, good performance will be expected from Devendra Kumar, Sagar Thayat, Mohammad Basil M and Dilip Mahadu Gavit. Whereas, in Para swimming, Suyyash Narayan Jadhav and Chaitanya Vishwas Kulkarni will enter the heats of men’s 50 meter freestyle S7 event and will try to make it to the finals. In boxing, Sakshi Chaudhary, Arundhati Chaudhary, Sachin Siwach, Ankush Yadav, Narendra Berwal and Jasmine Lamboria will play their respective quarterfinal matches. With victory, all these players can ensure a medal for India by reaching the semi-finals.
