Damascus Attack: Saudi Arabia’s big statement on terrorist blast in Syria, expressed grief and solidarity
There has been a massive explosion near a cafe in the Syrian capital, Damascus. 10 people lost their lives and 21 people were injured in this terrorist attack. Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned the incident and expressed its solidarity with Syria.

The attack occurred on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at around 3 pm. The blast took place at a cafe on Al-Nasr Street in Damascus, about 70 meters from the Palace of Justice. Syrian Interior Ministry According to , this attack was carried out with an IED bomb. The weight of this bomb was about one kilogram and it was filled with small pieces of iron so that it could cause more damage.
Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry issued an official statement on 3 July 2026. It said that Saudi Arabia stands with Syria against violence, extremism and terrorism. The Saudi government expressed its condolences to the families of those killed and the Syrian government and wished the speedy recovery of the injured.
The Syrian government has called this entire incident a terrorist conspiracy. Health Minister Musab Al-Ali On Friday, he visited the Damascus hospital to inquire about the condition of the injured and assured them of full medical treatment.
Security forces had surrounded the blast site and evidence is being collected. CCTV footage and statements of eyewitnesses have been recorded so that the attackers can be identified. However, no terrorist organization has yet claimed responsibility for this attack.
This attack has been condemned not only by Saudi Arabia, but also by countries like Kuwait, UAE, Libya, Bahrain, South Korea and Japan. The spokesman for the UN Secretary General and the new head of the Arab League have also expressed their sympathy with Syria.
