Danni Wyatt-Hodge Record: England’s batsman created history, did what no one has been able to do till date in the T20 World Cup!

England’s opening batsman Danny Wyatt-Hodge has registered his name in golden letters in the history of cricket on Sunday (July 5). She has become the first player in the world to touch the mark of 300 runs in a single season of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.

To reach this milestone, this right-handed batsman, who has played the most matches in Women’s T20I for England, needed only 6 runs in the final of the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup being played against Australia at Lord’s. Danny made this historic record in his name by taking his sixth run on the very first ball of the fourth over of England’s innings.

Danny has been impressive in the tournament

Danny Wyatt-Hodge has been in amazing form in this year’s T20 World Cup. He had scored a blazing unbeaten century in the very first match against Sri Lanka. After this, he played an inning of 65 runs against West Indies and then scored an unbeaten 89 runs against the 2024 champion team New Zealand.

Australia’s Beth Mooney has now come second after Danny in the list of players who have scored the most runs in a single season of the Women’s T20 World Cup. Mooney scored a total of 259 runs while playing 6 matches for ‘Southern Stars’ (Australian team) in the 2020 season.
