Nigohan/Lucknow – In order to ensure a peaceful and safe Shravan month and the upcoming Kanwar Yatra, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Mohammad Mushtaq on Saturday conducted a foot patrol in the Nigohan police station area to review security arrangements. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Rallapalli Vasanth Kumar, Assistant Commissioner of Police Mohanlalganj Rajesh Kumar Singh, and local police officers were present.
The DCP, accompanied by the police force, visited major markets, crowded areas, religious sites, and areas with mixed populations. He inspected Shiva temples and the Kanwar Yatra route during the month of Shravan and provided necessary security guidelines to subordinate officers.
Interacting with merchants and local residents during his foot patrol, he encouraged them to install CCTV cameras in their establishments and assured them of all possible security from the police. He also instructed police officers to keep a close watch on suspicious individuals and objects, take immediate action against rumors spreading on social media, and maintain law and order.
The DCP then visited the famous Bhanwareshwar Mahadev Temple and inspected the security arrangements. While reviewing the temple complex and the Kanwar route, he instructed the Nigoha police to exercise special vigilance for the safety of devotees and Kanwariyas. He said that during the month of Sawan, a large number of Shiva devotees arrive for the Jalabhishek, so adequate police deployment, crowd control, and smooth traffic management should be ensured on the temple routes.
