Death-blood-weapons past, after two decades, Hamas is leaving power, now civilian rule in Gaza!

In exchange for the death of many people, peace has returned to Gaza! In this situation, civilian rule is going to be implemented in the war-torn region for a long time. The armed rebel group Hamas is leaving power. Two decades later, they abolished the military administrative structure of Gaza. Needless to say, this event is a historical turning point in the Middle East.

After winning legislative elections in 2006, Hamas wrested control of Gaza from rival Palestinian group Fatah in 2007. On the other hand, since the ceasefire with Israel took effect last October, Hamas has been saying that they are ready to withdraw from the rule of Gaza. However, the complex issue of their weapons storage still remains unresolved. “Mohammed al-Farra, the head of the government’s emergency committee, has officially submitted his resignation,” Ismail al-Thawabta, a representative of Hamas’s media office, told the news agency on Monday. He decided to dissolve the current committee in order to facilitate the transfer process to the ‘National Committee on Gaza Governance’ (NCAG).

NCAG was formed in Cairo in October last year. which was formed under the leadership of the Gaza ‘Board of Peace’. The board was established when US President Donald Trump brokered the Israel-Hamas ceasefire agreement. Hamas spokesman Hazem Kashem said that Hamas has taken steps to no longer keep control of the Gaza Strip in its own hands. The goal is to stop the occupying power (read Israel) from invading Gaza in the name of annihilation and extermination operations.

On the other hand, the head of NCAG, Ali Saath X Handel, said, “We are confirming that the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza will indeed carry out all its responsibilities with the necessary resources and powers.” The essential conditions for the committee’s success, he added, were — a single authority, a single law and an armed force under a single authority. The ‘Board of Peace’ said it was monitoring the announcement by Hamas. Calls for all weapons in the Gaza Strip to be brought under NCAG control.
