Death toll in Dhar road accident reaches 16, 6 children included, PM Modi expressed grief, CM Mohan Yadav announced assistance amount.

The road accident that occurred on Wednesday night in Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh shocked the entire area. In fact, 16 people, including 6 children, died when a pickup loaded with laborers overturned near Chikaliya Phata. About 13 people have been injured in this accident, many of whom are in critical condition. There was chaos at the spot after the accident and the relief work continued till late night.

According to the information, this accident happened at around 8:30 pm on Indore-Ahmedabad National Highway. There were about 40 to 50 laborers in the pickup vehicle, much more than the prescribed capacity. Suddenly the tire of the vehicle burst, due to which the driver lost control. The pickup crossed the divider and reached the other lane and collided with the Scorpio coming from the front. After this the vehicle overturned several times. According to eyewitnesses, the collision was so strong that many people died on the spot, while others were seriously injured.

Overloading became a major reason

In fact, initial investigation into this accident has made it clear that overloading and high speed were the biggest reasons. In rural areas, vehicles like pickups are often used to transport laborers, but ignoring safety rules is common. In this case also, twice the capacity of people were sitting in the vehicle, due to which the balance got disturbed.

Government announcement

After the accident, the administration immediately started relief and treatment arrangements. Seven seriously injured people have been referred to Indore, while the rest are undergoing treatment in hospitals in Dhar and nearby areas. According to doctors, many of the injured have suffered serious head and body injuries.

PM Modi expressed grief

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav have also expressed grief over this road accident. In fact, Prime Minister Modi has sanctioned Rs 2 lakh each to the families of the deceased and Rs 50 thousand each for proper treatment of the injured.

CM Mohan Yadav expressed condolences

Expressing grief over the accident, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said, ‘The road accident that took place on Wednesday near Chikaliya Phata on the Indore-Ahmedabad National Highway is heart-wrenching.’ He said his condolences are with the affected families. Along with this, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has given instructions to provide Rs 4 lakh each to the families of the citizens who died in the accident, Rs 1 lakh each to the seriously injured and Rs 50 thousand each to the injured.

Along with this, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has also instructed Indore Divisional Commissioner and IG to go to Dhar for the treatment of the injured. All the injured will be treated free of cost. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has prayed to Baba Mahakal to give peace to the souls of the citizens who died in the accident and to provide strength to their bereaved families to bear this grief. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.
