Defamation notice of Rs 500 crore to Aditya Thackeray and Anil Deshmukh in Disha Salian case

Tezzbuzz Desk- Disha Salian's father Satish Salian has accused both the leaders of calling the fight for justice politically motivated and damaging his reputation. In the case of the death of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's former manager Disha Salian, his father Satish Salian has sent a legal notice of Rs 500 crore to Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aditya Thackeray and NCP (SP) leader Anil Deshmukh. Through the notice, a demand has been made for compensation from both the leaders.

The legal notice alleges that Aditya Thackeray and Anil Deshmukh tried to show Satish Salian's ongoing fight for justice as politically motivated. Satish Salian says that such statements have damaged his honesty, credibility and social reputation. In the notice, Aditya Thackeray has been accused of questioning the intentions of Satish Salian. It said that an attempt was made to portray their struggle as malicious and motivated by political motives. According to the notice, such allegations were made without any credible evidence and their objective was to tarnish the image of Satish Salian.

Satish Salian also alleged that Aditya Thackeray wrongly claimed that the CBI has given him a clean chit after completing the investigation in the Disha Salian case. The notice said that Thackeray had claimed that Disha Salian's name was being used to harass him. Anil Deshmukh reportedly supported this claim.

According to the notice, on March 23, 2025, Anil Deshmukh had said that the Disha Salian case is a conspiracy to defame Aditya Thackeray. Satish Salian alleges that due to the publicity of this statement, he has been projected as a person who is using the judicial process for political purposes. Disha Salian died on 8 June 2020 after falling from a high-rise building in Mumbai's Malad area. His age was 28 years.
