Defense Accounts Department officials toured UPSIFS

Lucknow. 7 July 2026 in the capital Lucknow, 40 officers of the Defense Accounts Department, undergoing training at the Defense Accounts Department, Regional Training Center (RTC Cantt. Lucknow), visited the Uttar Pradesh State Institute of Forensic Science in Lucknow today. Who were given detailed information about cyber and forensic subjects by the subject experts of the institute. On this occasion, Founding Director Dr. G.K. Addressing all the officers present in the auditorium, Goswami said that the methods of crime are changing in the cyber age, hence we have to be careful.

Earlier crimes used to happen in the physical world but now crimes are happening in the digital world, in such a situation we all have to have more and more information about technology and work accordingly otherwise we can become victims of cyber fraud. Highlighting the importance of data, he said that the more data one has, the stronger one will be. Some countries are powerful because they do not share their technology and data with other countries. He said that now is the time for training of all of you, the more inquisitive you are, the more you will be able to learn new things. This institute is currently imparting technical skills to various institutes in the subject of cyber security and forensics.

On this occasion, Deputy Inspector General of Police Hemraj Meena briefed the trainee officers about the institute and why cyber forensics is important in today’s era. At the end of the program that shed light on this topic, Deputy Director Jitendra Srivastava expressed his gratitude to all the officers present in the auditorium. Public Relations Officer Santosh Tiwari conducted the program and Dr. Inderjit gave a lecture on the topic of cyber. The trainee officers also visited the DNA and AI lab. On this occasion, Deputy Director Chiranjib Mukherjee, Atul Yadav, Dr. Anand Prakash, Amit Mishra, Rahul Divedi, Dr. Palak, RI Shailendra Singh and Karthikeya and others were present.
