Delhi Crime News: An allegation of rape of a minor for about seven months has come to light in Delhi. It is alleged that the accused made a video and blackmailed the girl even after marriage and sent the said video to her husband.
Delhi Crime News : In the capital Delhi, a girl has accused a neighboring youth of committing sexual crimes and making a video of her for about seven months when she was a minor. According to the police, the girl is now an adult and is married. It is alleged that even after marriage, the young man kept blackmailing her through alleged videos and once even sent the video to her husband.
knew each other before being neighbors
According to the police, the victim and the accused are neighbors and knew each other for many years. In the complaint, the girl alleged that when she was a minor, the accused committed sexual offenses against her for about seven months. During this time, the accused also allegedly made a video of her. According to the police, the girl turned 18 this year and later got married. It is alleged that even after marriage, the accused continued to harass and blackmail her using the alleged video.
Sent alleged video to husband
According to the complaint, the accused at one point sent the alleged video to the victim’s husband. After this there was a dispute between the couple. The victim alleged that the youth continuously threatened her to make the video public and share it on social media. Troubled by the continuous alleged blackmailing, the girl complained to the police. Based on the complaint, the police registered a case and started investigation.
Case registered under POCSO
According to the police, the victim was a minor at the time of the incident. For this reason, a case has been registered against the accused under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act i.e. POCSO Act. Sections 63(1) and 351(3) of the Indian Judicial Code along with Sections 4 and 6 of POCSO have been imposed in the case. The police have also got the victim medically examined at Lady Hardinge Medical College. The accused youth has been arrested in the case.
Investigation of digital evidence continues
Police are now examining the alleged video, mobile phone and other digital evidence. The investigation is also looking into when and how the video was made and with whom it was shared. Police are also investigating other facts and circumstances related to the case. The charges against the accused will be confirmed in the court on the basis of evidence and legal process.
