Delhi defeated RCB by 6 wickets, David Miller won by hitting two sixes.

Delhi Capitals defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by six wickets at their own home. Brilliant half-century innings by KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs took the team to the threshold of victory. DC needed 15 runs in the last over to win. David Miller gave the team its third win of the IPL season with the help of two sixes and one four.

 

The 26th match of IPL 2026 between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals was played at the M. Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium in Bengaluru. RCB opener Philip Salt, who came to bat first, played a brilliant inning of 63 runs in 38 balls. Delhi Capitals bowlers bowled disciplined. Bengaluru was restricted to 175 runs at the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs.

 

Delhi Capitals, which set out to chase the target of 176 runs, had a very disappointing start. The first wicket fell in the form of Pathum Nissanka on the score of 2 runs. Nissanka could score only one run. On the score of 16, RCB got its second blow in the form of Karun Nair. Nair could contribute only 5 runs. The third wicket fell on the score of 18 runs. Sameer Rizvi returned to the pavilion after scoring 2 runs in 3 balls.

Brilliant innings by KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs took Delhi to the threshold of victory. Rahul faced 34 balls. Played an innings of 57 with the help of two sixes and 6 fours. For the fourth wicket, there was a good partnership of 69 runs in 44 balls between KL Rahul and Stubbs. KL Rahul’s wicket also fell on the first ball of 11 overs. Later there was a partnership of 45 runs between David Miller and Stubbs. Akshar Patel contributed 26 runs. However, he had to retire hurt and return. Stubbs scored unbeaten 60 off 47 balls and Miller scored 22 runs off 10 balls.

 

RCB bowling: Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled the best for RCB. Took 3 wickets for 26 runs in 4 overs. Krunal Pandya also got a success. Apart from this, no bowler of RCB could do anything special.

Royal Challengers innings: Apart from Philip Salt Salt, there was no edge in the batting of Royal Challengers Bangalore. Other top-order batsmen of RCB could not do anything special. Virat Kohli played an inning of 19 runs in 13 balls. Devdutt Padikkal could also contribute only 18 runs in 13 balls. Captain Rajat Patidar could not touch double figures today. He scored only 8 runs in 4 balls.

 

Tim David played an inning of 26 runs in 17 balls. He was the only batsman after Philip Salt to score more than 20 runs. Otherwise all the wickets of Bengaluru were reduced to within 20 runs. Jitesh Sharma contributed 14 runs, Romario Shepherd 1, Krunal Pandya 12 and Bhuvneshwar Kumar contributed only three runs.

When did wickets fall: The first blow to RCB came in the form of Virat Kohli on the score of 52. Devdutt Padikkal had to return to the pavilion on the score of 99. Third blow at 105. Philip Salt was out after playing a brilliant innings. The wicket of captain Rajat Patidar fell on the score of 131, Tim David on 146, Romario Shepherd on 149 and Krunal Pandya on the score of 172. The eighth blow came in the form of Jitesh Sharma on the score of 172.

 

Delhi bowling: Lungi Ngidi took two important wickets for 39 runs in 4 overs. Kuldeep Yadav targeted Philip Salt and Romario Shepherd. Akshar Patel sent two batsmen to the pavilion after giving away 18 runs in 3 overs. Mukesh Kumar gave 32 runs in four overs and achieved one success. Whereas Aaqib Nabi Dar did not get any success in three overs. Nabi proved to be the most expensive by giving 36 runs. T Natarajan also gave 16 runs in 2 overs and could not take any wicket.
