Delhi government’s initiative for NEET candidates and parents, cooling zones will be created at examination centers

Regarding the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), the Delhi government has decided to make special arrangements for the candidates and their parents. In view of the examination to be held on June 21, facilities are being increased at the examination centres. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that for the first time, cooling zones are being created at the examination centers keeping in mind the convenience of not only the candidates but also their parents and family members. Facilities like clean drinking water and shikanji will be provided along with seating arrangements for parents in these cooling zones. The aim of the government is to provide relief to the parents from heat and discomfort during the examination. The Chief Minister said that this arrangement is being made keeping in mind the concerns of the students as well as their family members in an important examination like NEET.

The administration has intensified preparations for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) to be held on June 21 in Delhi. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that a total of 97 centers have been set up for the examination in the capital. According to the Chief Minister, out of these, 69 examination centers have been made in government schools and 28 centers have been made in the schools of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. Special cooling zones are being prepared by the district administration around the examination centres. Necessary facilities will be provided in these cooling zones for parents and family members to sit, rest and get relief from the heat. Clean drinking water and other necessary arrangements will also be made here.

CM Rekha Gupta said that every year lakhs of families reach the examination centers with dreams of the future of their children. Students stay inside the center during the examination, while their parents and relatives wait outside for several hours. He said that keeping in mind the problems of the parents waiting amidst the scorching heat and sun, the Delhi government has taken this initiative, so that they do not have to face any inconvenience on the day of the examination.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that earlier it was often seen that during examinations, parents were forced to spend time in the shade of trees, parks or nearby markets. Many people had to stand for hours in the scorching heat and wait for their children. He said that such situation will not happen now. Comfortable waiting arrangements will be made available for parents outside the examination centres. The Chief Minister said that on the instructions of the Divisional Commissioner, the concerned officers are ensuring the arrangement of cooling zones around all the examination centres. Along with seating facilities, facilities like clean drinking water, shikanji, ORS, tea and first aid will be available at these places.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that the aim of the government is not only to conduct the examination successfully but also to improve the experience of every person associated with the examination. The Chief Minister said that when parents remain comfortable and relaxed, it will have a positive impact on the students as well and they will be able to take the examinations with more confidence. He said that the Delhi government gives top priority to education and the future of the youth. He said that it is the responsibility of the government to provide all possible support to the students and their families appearing in an important examination like NEET. He described the cooling zone being created for parents as a respect for the millions of parents who stand with their children at every step to fulfill their dreams. CM Rekha Gupta expressed hope that this initiative of Delhi Government will become an inspiration for other states also and in future, importance will be given to the convenience of parents during the examinations to be held across the country. While wishing all the NEET candidates, he said that the whole of Delhi is wishing for their bright future.

Delhi In First From 15 cooling zone

According to the Chief Minister, 85 sheds have been set up in different areas of Delhi for the convenience of the people. Apart from this, 15 cooling zones are also being operated, where arrangements have been made to provide relief to people from the heat. He informed that 13 mobile relief vans (mobile heat relief units) are also continuously roaming in different areas and providing relief from heat to the needy people. CM Rekha Gupta said that the cooling zones being created outside the examination centers for parents during the NEET examination are also a part of this public welfare and sensitive thinking.
