After a long wait, Himachal Pradesh Transport Corporation (HRTC) has decided to restart the Delhi-Keylong-Leh bus service. This service will operate again from May 26, which will provide great relief to the passengers going to Ladakh. After the opening of Manali-Leh highway about a week ago, the roads have now become normal, due to which bus operations are being restored again. This bus starts from Delhi and goes directly to Leh via Keylong. With the launch of this service, tourists, local people and businessmen will get a lot of travel convenience and reaching Ladakh will become easier than before.

The Border Roads Organization (BRO) has recently reopened this important Manali-Leh highway for traffic after hard work. After its opening, Himachal Pradesh Transport Corporation (HRTC) has decided to restart its much awaited Delhi-Keylong-Leh bus service. This bus service will operate again from May 26 and will start from Delhi and go directly to Leh via Keylong. This route is considered an important connectivity route for the Ladakh region.

Keylong Regional Manager Anshit Sharma said that this bus service will operate directly from Delhi to Leh via Keylong. During the journey this bus will pass through many inaccessible and high altitude mountainous areas. In this route, passengers will have to pass through high and challenging places like Jispa, Darcha, Baralacha La, Sarchu and Tanglang La. This route is considered one of the highest and riskiest road routes in the world, where every year a large number of tourists travel to experience adventure and natural beauty.

How much is the fare?

According to Himachal Pradesh Transport Corporation officials, the fare has been fixed at ₹ 1,839 per passenger for this approximately 990 km long journey from Delhi to Leh. Keeping in mind the convenience of passengers, online booking of this bus service has also been started. Passengers can easily book tickets through the official website of the corporation.

According to the new timetable, this bus service of Himachal Pradesh Transport Corporation will leave from the capital Delhi at 12:10 pm. The bus will reach Keylong the next day at 5:30 am and then continue the journey and reach Leh at around 7 pm. In the return journey the bus will leave Leh at 3:30 am and reach Keylong at around 4:30 pm. This service is temporarily closed every year in winter due to heavy snowfall and bad weather due to which the traffic on the Manali-Leh Highway maintained by the Border Roads Organization gets disrupted at that time. This important bus service has now been restarted after the road has been restored, providing a direct and convenient connectivity to the passengers once again.
