The entire matter is of Kalyanpuri police station area. In the morning, an MCD sanitation worker was publicly stabbed to death in the middle of the road. After committing the crime, the accused walked away comfortably. The deceased has been identified as Anil Kumar, 27, a sanitation worker of MCD.
According to preliminary information received from Delhi Police, Anil was doing his duty in Kalyanpuri at around 7:30 am on Sunday. Meanwhile, a person came from behind. He was attacked with a knife in the bath. After killing Anil, the accused fled from the spot. It can also be seen in the CCTV footage that the accused, holding a knife in one hand, can be seen holding sanitation worker Anil by his collar and slapping, kicking, punching and attacking him with the knife. Police have taken possession of the CCTV footage and are examining the footage and other evidence to trace the attacker.
Sister demanded strict punishment for the accused
Deceased's sister Sunita told that she had initially received the news on phone that Anil had met with an accident. When she reached there, she came to know that he had been murdered. Anil was 27 years old and had gone to work as usual and was doing his duty, when someone came from behind and murdered him. The victim's family has demanded that the accused be arrested as soon as possible and he should be punished.
