The Regional Meteorological Center of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a ‘Yellow Alert’ of thunderstorms and rain with lightning in the entire NCR region for Friday, June 12, 2026. According to the latest bulletin of the Meteorological Department, the sky will be densely cloudy throughout the day tomorrow and there is a strong possibility of heavy rain with strong winds in two separate phases. Due to this storm, there will be a huge drop in the temperature of Delhi-NCR, which will give great relief to the people from the scorching heat. Afternoon and evening: In the second half of the day the weather will once again turn and the second round of light rain will begin in NCR. During this time too, there is a forecast of dust storm with thunder and lightning at the speed of 40-50 km/hr and the speed of gusts may reach up to 60 km/hr. After facing the scorching heat of 42 to 44 degree Celsius in the past days, people of Delhi-NCR may have to switch off AC and cooler tomorrow.
