Thunderstorm and rain alert in Delhi-NCR, what is the weather department’s warning for the next 48 hours?

Delhi-NCR Weather: Delhi Many states including North India are currently facing the scorching heat, where the temperature is continuously reaching new records. However, now there are signs of change in the weather, due to which people are expected to get relief soon.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the weather in the capital Delhi may change within the next 48 hours. There is a possibility of rain on 28th April, while a yellow alert has been issued for 29th April. On Tuesday, the maximum temperature of Delhi is expected to be 42 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be 27 degrees Celsius.

On Monday night, dust storm and strong winds in Delhi-NCR indicated change in the weather pattern. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of rain, thunder and strong winds between Tuesday and Thursday. The temperature in the capital has reached 42.3 degrees Celsius, due to which people are facing severe heat. However, a drop in temperature may be recorded after the rain in the coming days.

How will the weather be in UP for the next 2 days?

The effect of heat and heat wave continues in most of the districts of Uttar Pradesh. In many cities the temperature has reached around 45 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department has warned of heat wave in many areas of the state. However, there is a possibility of strong winds and light rain in some areas in the next 1–2 days, which may provide some relief to the people.

According to the Meteorological Department, rain may continue throughout the week in the states of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Northeast India. There is a possibility of thunder, lightning and strong winds at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour in these areas.

Mahesh Palawat, meteorologist at private weather agency Skymet, said, “A cyclonic circulation is over central Pakistan, north-western Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana. It is currently strong and moving towards north-eastern India. There may be rain in parts of Rajasthan and Haryana tonight and it is likely to reach Delhi on Tuesday and remain active till April 30.”

When will we get relief from the heat?

According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, changes in weather may be seen in Delhi and surrounding areas from April 28 to April 30. During this period, the temperature will drop due to rain and strong winds, which is expected to provide relief from the scorching heat.
