Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has today announced that the limit of Ration Card Eligibility in the capital has been increased to Rs 2.5 lakh annually. While making this announcement, the Chief Minister also said that the government has canceled 7.72 lakh invalid ration cards. He said that now people will not have to visit offices for ration card application. You can apply from the convenience center located near your home. The entire process will be digital.

During this, Rekha Gupta said that new ration cards have not been issued in Delhi in the last 13 years. He said that the entire process of new ration card is being kept in digital mode to keep it transparent.
CM Gupta further said that the rules of Delhi Food Security Rules 2026 should be implemented from 2013. The Center had given it to all the states. But it was not implemented in Delhi. Because of that, E-Measurement and biometrics were not being done. People were not getting these facilities. We have implemented all the guidelines of the Central Government. The National Food Security Act, 2013 has been fully implemented in Delhi. The entire process will be online.
