Delhi Fake Call Center Busted: Delhi Police has busted a fake recruitment racket that cheated 500 unemployed people by showing them the dream of working in Tata Motors. Along with this, Delhi Police has also busted a fake call centre. Five accused including two women have been arrested in the case.
This gang has so far cheated 500 people by taking data from the job portal app and promising them jobs in Tata Motors. Police have recovered 9 mobile phones, 7 ATM carts and two bank passbooks etc. from the premises.
DCP Niharika Bhatt said on Sunday that AATS of Delhi Police has raided a fake call center involved in fraud in Wazirabad and arrested 5 people including the operator. AATS had received information that a fake call center was running in a flat located in Sangam Vihar, Wazirabad. On the instructions of Additional DCP Pukhraj Kamal Gupta, a team of AATS in-charge Inspector Sanjay Kumar was formed. After this the team raided the premises and arrested three people including two women. In this, call center operator Satish Maurya and other girls were tele callers. Police arrested two more tele caller girls. Satish was running a call center in this premises for three months.
Solution suggested after fraud of Rs 500
36-year-old Satish Maurya, after completing his M.Sc., worked in Axis Bank, Tata Motors and other institutions. Meanwhile, he was cheated of Rs 500 in the name of job. After this he also planned to commit fraud in a similar manner. Earlier he was running call centers with partners in different areas of Delhi. However, for the last one year he was running the call center alone. The accused told that he used to contact for job on 'Job Hai Support' app. He had recruited telecaller girls from this place. Then he took the data of job aspirants from this portal-app and used to talk to the telecaller girls. She used to take interviews for the jobs of data entry operator, web designer, data analyst and accountant. This gang used to take money from its victims in five stages on different pretexts. The investigation so far has revealed that Satish had defrauded 500 people of around Rs 20 lakh.
