Delhi Police Traffic Advisory: Be careful before going to Jantar Mantar and CP! Section 163 implemented, know traffic advisory of Delhi Police

Keeping in mind the ongoing protests and security arrangements in the capital Delhi, Delhi Police has issued a traffic advisory. Strict restrictions have been imposed under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Security Code (BNSS), 2023, with the aim of maintaining law and order and controlling crowd in sensitive areas. Police have appealed to the general public to avoid going to the main areas of New Delhi district without any urgent work and plan their journey in advance. Delhi Police has advised to avoid unnecessary movement in the following areas, especially in the following sensitive areas: Jantar Mantar and Parliament House Complex Central Vista Connaught Place Entire New Delhi District Drivers have been advised to choose alternative routes instead of the roads leading to these areas and follow the instructions of police personnel deployed at the intersections. Instructions for cab, food delivery and e-commerce services Delhi Police has also issued special advisory to app-based platforms (like Ola, Uber, Zomato, Swiggy and Quick-Commerce Logistics): Control on services: Companies have been asked to control their delivery and ride services in restricted areas as per the need. Geo-Fencing technology: Companies have been advised to use geo-fencing technology in sensitive areas or temporarily suspend services. Safety priority: According to the police, the move is aimed at ensuring the safety of delivery partners, cab drivers and passengers. Emergency services and helpline numbers Emergency vehicles will remain free: Delhi Police has clarified that there will be no restriction on all emergency services like ambulance, fire brigade and authorized government vehicles and they will continue to run without any interruption.
