Delhi Satya Niketan Building Collapsed: A five-storey building collapsed in Satya Niketan, South Delhi. According to eyewitnesses, two people are reported dead in the accident. However, Delhi administration has not confirmed this. While about 40 people are trapped in the debris of the building. Voices of 'save us, save us' are coming from the debris. It has 5 storeys in which PG used to run. Due to this, most of the students of Delhi University are buried in this accident. According to eyewitnesses, students were in the rooms at the time of the accident. 5 have been rescued. However, it is not yet known how many children are trapped under the debris. Other nearby buildings have also been evacuated for safety.
Here, CM Rekha Gupta has expressed grief over the incident. Delhi CM wrote on social media – I am deeply troubled by the incident of building collapse in Satya Niketan, RK Puram. Teams of DDMA, NDRF, Delhi Fire Services, Delhi Police, MCD, CATS and Civil Defense are carrying out rescue operations on war footing. As a precaution, the nearby building has been evacuated. Every possible effort is being made to rescue the stranded people and provide immediate assistance to the affected families. The situation is being monitored closely, and all concerned agencies are working together. The safety and well-being of every citizen is our biggest priority.

According to eyewitnesses, two buildings collapsed simultaneously. One building has collapsed, its name is 'Hostel Days'. Right next to it is another building that collapsed. 'Hostel Days' is exclusively PG for boys. It was a five-storey building. The adjacent building also collapsed. The students who were inside their rooms were all buried under the debris. The exact number of stranded students will be known only after checking the registration records. Some bodies were taken out and four children who were still breathing were rescued. Sounds are still coming from inside the debris. Children are screaming, 'Save us, save us!' There were at least 25-30 children there. There was a PG for boys and girls nearby. 4-5 people have been rescued.
Delhi Police gave information about the accident
Delhi Police said that a building has collapsed near Satya Niketan in south-west Delhi. The fire department received information at around 1:30 pm. Rescue work is going on. More information will be available once the situation becomes clear.

BJP MLA Anil Sharma said, this is a very sad incident; What could be more heart breaking than this? Students come here to study and stay in PG in this building; This building has collapsed. However, it is difficult to tell the exact number whether it is five, ten or twenty students. But we know for sure that students are trapped inside. NDRF and MCD have already rescued two students. Some students are also calling from inside and it seems that some people are still trapped inside, so rescue work is going on. We are praying to God and the Chief Minister has sent the entire team here. The entire government is very concerned and is focusing on saving the students. This is our main objective.
