DSGMC will ban Diljit Dosanjh’s film Satluj Ott and screen it.
This controversy is not stopping after actor Diljit Dosanjh’s film Satluj was removed from OTT within 48 hours. The Central Board of Film Certification says that it was released without completing the certification process. But amidst this protest, Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee has now come forward and says that despite the ban, they will screen it, organize seminars and take the film to every home of Punjab because the reality has been depicted in the film. In this, the case related to 25000 unclaimed dead bodies has been highlighted.
Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee Chairman Harmeet Singh Kalka has issued a statement in this regard saying that this film is related to Jaswant Singh Khalda. The film shows that 25,000 dead bodies were burnt and how a social worker brings the truth to the people.

He says that this issue should be highlighted not only in the country but also at the international level. It is wrong to hide the truth. He said that the managing committee will screen the film and organize seminars in various educational institutions.
We have asked the committee members to show the film in their areas. He said that we will soon meet the presidents of schools and colleges. We want to tell people what impact a social worker can have on society. If one person can achieve everything then why don’t we all achieve it together.

what is the matter
In the year 2022, director Honey Trehan had completed Sutlej and applied for certification. However, this process was delayed for 4 years. But after a lot of struggle, its incut version has now been released on ZEE5. The film was blocked at the theater level because 120 cuts were suggested in the final film. Diljit Dosanjh and the filmmakers had not even imagined this.
Khalda was a social activist from a bank clerk.
It is noteworthy that Diljit Dosanjh is playing the character of Jaswant Singh Khalda in this film. Khalda was a bank clerk after which he became a social activist. He exposed incidents of alleged illegal killings and secret funerals in Punjab in the late 1980s and early 1990s. After this he went missing in 1995. Ten years after she went missing, four Punjab Police officers were found guilty of her abduction, torture and alleged murder. Even Khalda’s body was not recovered.
