Notices have been issued to more than 31.63 lakh voters during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process of the voter list in Delhi. These include former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his family members. Notices have been sent in those cases where the voters' records could not be linked to the voter list of the previous SIR or discrepancies were found in the information like name, date of birth in the records. The name of LK Advani's son Pratibha Advani is also included in this list.
Many prominent political figures are also included among those who received the notice. According to election officials, receiving the notice does not mean that a person's name has been removed from the final voter list. The concerned voters will have to submit their answers and necessary documents to the Electoral Registration Officer i.e. ERO, after which the records will be verified.

1. Many big names are included in the notice list issued under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. Among them, Election Commissioner S.S. Sandhu, Foreign Minister S. The names of Jaishankar and senior BJP leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Lal Krishna Advani are also included.
2. According to News18, the names of Congress leader and senior MP Kapil Sibal, senior Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi and Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri are also in the notice list of SIR. This list has been prepared under the ongoing SIR process.
3. Along with former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, his wife Sunita Kejriwal, father Gobind Ram Kejriwal, mother Geeta Devi and son Pulkit Kejriwal have also received the notice. All these are included in the “Unmapped with Last SIR” category.
4. According to the Electoral Registration Officer, New Delhi, the enumeration forms submitted by Kejriwal and his family members did not contain complete information required to be linked to the voter list of the previous SIR. For this reason a notice was issued to him.
5. According to the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Delhi, 31,63,930 notices have been prepared and are being delivered to the concerned voters. These notices are given in two main types of cases – record not being linked to the previous SIR list and “Logical Discrepancy” found in the record.
6. In the SIR process, “Unmapped” are those voters whose information in the current voter list did not match with the relevant records present in the voter list of the previous SIR. Necessary documents are being asked from such voters to confirm their eligibility and records.
7. Records of some voters were linked to the previous voter list, but differences were found in name, date of birth or other information. Such cases have been kept in the category of “Logical Discrepancy” and notices have been sent to the concerned voters asking them to clarify the information.
8. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta's name also appeared in the list of Logical Discrepancy. In his case, there was a discrepancy in the records related to age difference with the parents. After documents and field verification, their entries were verified and their inclusion in the final voter list was confirmed.
9. According to reports, the name of Pratibha Advani, daughter of former Deputy Prime Minister LK Advani, is also included in the list of those who received the notice. This notice is also part of the process related to verification of voter records.
10. Voters who receive the notice will have to submit the reply and necessary documents before the concerned Electoral Registration Officer i.e. ERO. The election officer will dispose of the notice after examining these documents and records.
The final voter list of Delhi is going to be published on 4 November 2026. According to election officials, the disposal of cases of voters who have received notices is to be completed by October 29. Therefore, at present the notice cannot be seen as final removal of names from the voter list.
