In a tragic accident on Sunday, two innocent children died due to drowning in a pit filled with water in Mukhmelpur village of Alipur police station area of the capital Delhi. The age of both the children is said to be between 8 to 10 years. There is an atmosphere of mourning in the entire area after the incident, while the police is investigating the matter.

According to the police, both the children had left home to play on Sunday afternoon. Preliminary investigation has revealed that while playing, they reached an empty plot in the village, where rain water had accumulated in a deep pit. It is feared that both the children suddenly fell into the pit and died due to drowning in deep water. Police received information about this accident in the evening.
Doctors declared him dead on reaching the hospital.
As soon as the family members got information about the incident, they immediately took both the children to Satyawadi Raja Harishchandra Hospital in Narela. However, doctors at the hospital declared both the children dead after examination. The police have taken possession of the bodies and started the necessary legal process and all aspects of the accident are being investigated.
Due to continuous rains, waterlogging and open pits in many areas of Delhi have become a serious threat to the people. Local people say that due to lack of adequate security arrangements at such places, the risk of accidents is continuously increasing.
A few days ago also a child lost his life
It is noteworthy that recently, a seven-year-old child Rehan died due to drowning due to waterlogging due to heavy rains in Sanjay Colony of Samaypur Badli.
