Delhi University Admission: Registration for undergraduate admission for 2026-27 begins, admission will be based on CUET-UG marks.
Delhi. The process of admission to Undergraduate (UG) courses for the academic session 2026-27 in Delhi University (DU) has officially started. The university has started the first phase of registration through Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS). According to the official notification released on June 26, candidates who have participated in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG 2026) can register themselves on the CSAS portal for admission in DU colleges.
CUET-UG 2026 score mandatory for seats in 67 colleges
Admission to 73 Undergraduate (UG) and more than 100 BA courses being conducted in 67 colleges of Delhi University will be given only on the basis of CUET-UG 2026 marks. For this, students have to fulfill the course-specific qualifications and eligibility decided by the university. Candidates can register on the CSAS portal using their CUET-UG 2026 application number only.
Necessary information will be entered automatically through ‘API Setu’
This time DU has taken a new initiative to increase security in the admission process and reduce mistakes while filling the form. Necessary details like name, date of birth, photograph and signature of the candidate have been automatically (auto-populated) added to the portal through ‘API Setu’ of Government of India.
Mapping of subjects will have to be done in the second phase.
After completing the Initial Registration (Phase I), it will be mandatory for the candidates to participate in the Phase II of CSAS. During the second phase students have to choose their preferences for their preferred courses and college options. In this stage candidates have to match their CUET-UG question papers with the subjects studied in class 12th.
The University has made it clear that while determining the eligibility for the courses and calculating the merit marks, only those language and subject based CUET question papers will be considered in which the student has studied and passed in class 12th. According to the notification, the detailed schedule of the second phase will be released soon.
